BOOK DRAGON
Meet the
Book Dragon
I am Sumit Sehgal; a lifelong reader, reviewer, writer, educator, and the mind and heart behind Book Dragon.
But before anything else, I am a Book Dragon.
I read across genres, age groups, and formats: children’s fiction, middle-grade, YA, adult literary fiction, thrillers, mysteries, non-fiction, poetry, and more. What matters to me is not the label, but the storytelling, honesty, depth, and emotional resonance of a book.
Why I review Books
My reviews are not summaries.
They are reader-to-reader conversation.
Every review is written with one question in mind:
Would I genuinely recommend this book to another reader?
A JOURNEY ROOTED IN LITERATURE
My journey began in 2011, after completing a creative writing course from the Sri Aurobindo Centre of Arts & Creativity. Since then, I have spent more than a decade immersed in the world of words, as:
- an author and poet
- a book reviewer
- a literary mentor and educator
- an events curator and festival collaborator
- a champion of young writers and storytellers
I have been honoured with then Rex Karamveer Awards (Bronze to Platinum) for my contribution to literature and education, and I continue to work closely with literary festivals, authors, and reading communities across India.
Yes, no matter how many roles I play, the reader in my always comes first.
